I am the epitome of the tiktok trend where one friend of the group organizes the trip and rest comes along for the ride and I hold that title with honour. As a virgo rising, I thoroughly enjoy the pre-trip planning process and I’ve gathered an arsenal of tips and tricks that will hopefully put your traveling stress at bay.
If you are planning a trip with more than +3 people, I would HIGHLY recommend downloading the Howabout app to help coordinate availability. It’s a calendar app that you can add in key dates you’re booked so you can visually see when everyone is free. Not only is this helpful for finding the best time to travel, it’s also helped immensely with my group chat to see when we can book a girls dinner, see what everyone is up to, etc.
Google Map Emoji Bookmark
I prefer to bookmark spots in my Google Maps via emojis vs lists. I know sharing a list is much easier per destination but I found that when I’m exploring a new city, it’s easier for me to just open the map and see what bookmarked spots are near where I am.
I’ve found these two apps to have the most aligned recommendations. It’s mostly curated by tastemakers and creatives so the spots are top tier. To access their full library of recommendations does require a paid subscription, but I find I get enough information through their social media posts.
Washing Sheets
I live in constant worry that I’ll run out of clean underwear. I travel with laundry detergent sheets so if the Airbnb has a washing machine, I just hop in a few pieces to freshen up throughout the trip.
Dust Bag for Laundry
I always pack a dust bag to put away dirty laundry when travelling so it doesn’t get mixed up with my clean clothes. I love when everything has a place and when you’re often moving from one accommodation to another, it’s so nice to have even the dirty laundry separate.
Muji Travel Cases + Label Maker
Having all your travel toiletry in a Muji travel case is my low key flex. Doubling down with a label maker so I actually know what this shade of white liquid is just the ultimate satisfaction. A walkthrough of my fav pieces.
This will be the only walking shoe you need for Europe… and tbh everywhere. It’s comfy, light, chic, breathable and most importantly cute. Satisfied customer as proof in the pictures above!
Love,
