Shy World Book Club #4 ~ Perks of Being a Wallflower
I forgot how much I loved this one, super short and sweet infused with so many good lessons! Especially for us who are navigating our twenties with so many crazy things to experience and grow into now. Here are 10 lessons I wrote down from this gem. I hope you can pull some inspiration from this one:
You accept the love you think you deserve.
Your self worth shapes your relationships more than chemistry does. It’s okay to feel deeply and be more sensitive.
Sensitivity isn’t weakness — it’s awareness. Crying and vulnerability make you stronger.Friendship can save you, they are so important.
The right people make life feel so bright and beautiful.Healing isn’t linear and that’s ok, it’s wavy.
Some days you grow. Some days you unravel. Both count. You don’t have to peak early, usually better.
20s is for you to try everything and try again.Being quiet doesn’t mean being invisible remember that.
Observant people often understand life the most actually (good listeners).Nostalgia and growth can coexist at the same time.
You can miss the past without wanting to live there again.Small moments in life become the big moments.
Late-night drives, songs, conversations, laughs — that’s the real stuff.People carry hidden pain, you honestly never know.
Kindness matters more than you realize, give everyone grace always.“We are infinite” moments are real, feels like fresh air.
Sometimes life briefly feels so whole — those moments stay with you forever.
Love,
Dovey
